Phantasmagoria is a 1995 Sierra FMV style horror game from King's Quest creator Roberta Williams. We play as mystery novelist Adrienne who moves into a creepy New England mansion with her photographer husband Don and pet cat Spaz. Adrienne begins having nightmares upon moving in and learns more about the unsettling history of the mansion and its former owner, all while her own husband begins to act more aggressively and irrationally toward her. While much of the game feels cheesy by today's gaming standards, it's still very entertaining here in my first ever playthrough of this game. Note that there are some elements to this game which are intended for mature audiences. • In chapter one of this Phantasmagoria playthrough, Adrienne explores the mansion while Don begins setting up his dark room in an upstairs bathroom. Upon finding some locked doors, Adrienne drives to the nearby small town of Nipawomsett to see about any missing keys from the realtor. Back at the mansion, Adrienne discovers a hole in the library's fireplace. After chipping away, she manages to find a secret room containing a mysterious box.
