AI is the science that empowers computers to mimic human intelligence such as decision making, reasoning, text processing, and visual perception. • 1. DATA SCIENTIST • Data science is the science of extracting useful information from a large unstructured amount of data. The goal of a data scientist is to solve company problems using data. Data science entails everything that has something to do with data such as: (1) Collecting the data, (2) Cleaning up the data, (3) Visualizing data, (4) Analyzing it and (5) creating predictive models based on the data. • 2. MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER • Machine learning engineers are essentially computer programmers with solid software skills who can build, train and deploy complex predictive models and program machines to perform specific task that can add business value. • 3. AI RESEARCH SCIENTIST • AI research scientists are PhDs computer scientists who publish research papers in AI, push the boundaries of science in AI. AI research scientists’ posses expert-level in several AI disciplines such as deep learning, perception, and computer vision. • 4. AI ARCHITECT • AI architects are different compared to ML engineers and data scientists. AI architects look at the big picture of the AI project and they are responsible for developing the architecture of the AI project, managing the overall strategy, coordination and planning of the AI project. • 5. BIG DATA ENGINEER/ARCHITECT • Big data engineers or architects play a key role in designing and building big data environment in Hadoop and spark systems.
