PCB damaged from excessive power spike. The customer had tried to repair the board causing further damage. The firmware chip is unique to most drives including Seagate, Toshiba, Hitachi etc. If the chip is damaged during the transplant process, all data will be lost. This is a short DIY for non-critical data.
