Removing magnetic tags from clothing

Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk. Neodymium magnets can cause serious injuries if not properly handled. Make sure there are no metal objects lying around. Neodymium magnets can crush and pinch your fingers. Nearby metal objects will be drawn by the magnets and literally fly to the magnets. Do not perform this operation if you have any medical devices on you that are made of metal. • Sometimes the sales persons will forget to remove the security tags from the clothing and then you are stuck with the tags. The best way is to return the item to the store and have them remove the tag for you. • If the tags are of the magnetic type and you have a stack of neodymium magnets, you can theoretically remove the tag yourself. Lay the stack of magnets (I used 6 quarter inch magnets) on a non metal surface like a wooden table. Laying magnets on a steel surface will weaken the magnetic force needed to remove the pin. • The trick to removing the pin from the tag is to lay the bulging side (not the pin side) of the tag flat on the neodymium magnets. Then the pin can be pulled straight out. • If the tag is tilted and not flat against the magnets, the pin will not come out. • Return the magnets to where you can securely store them. • • Click here to subscribe to this channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_c...
