Fix your pop up! • It could be bad technique, it could be lack of flexibility, it could be inadequate strength, or it could be a combination of all of the above. • A pop up which is the wrong name IMO, it should be called a Walk Up, is a sport SKILL. Skills are built upon foundations of movement and movement characteristics (strength, power, flexibility, etc). • You may just need to work on the Skill and learn better techinque. • Or you may have immobile joints that limit your ability to perform the skill. • You may need to build more strength, power, or mobility (control of range of motion). • Bad pop ups equate to bad surfing.
