Programming can be an important aspect in building a cybersecurity career. Although you will not have to build advanced websites or User Interfaces (UIs), you will need the ability to efficiently automatic tasks through the scripting capabilities of programming languages. Depending on the specific role within security, you will be required to understand various programming languages, including Python (specifically for cybersecurity). • Python is a great programming language to start out with when learning how to program. Whether you are just starting out writing your first Hello World! program or you are already experienced with the basic logic behind programming, Python offers an extensive amount of community support. Python is a high-level programming language, meaning it's easier to read and write with more efficiency. • Due to both programming and Python being important for a cybersecurity career, I decided to start the 2019 Python Project for Cybersecurity. • I will be going through three levels and three capstone projects with a security perspective within the industry.
