These angels that have the seven bowls are mighty powerful angels. Remember that all angels are not the same. There are different ranks and there are different kinds of angels. We talk about Cherubim and Seraphim. We don't know how many other kinds there may be. The Cherubim seem to be the highest and the mightiest. We see pictures of a Cherub and we see a cute little fat baby with little angel wings on. • The Cherubim -- the “im” ending is simply the Hebrew plural. So the cherub or the cherubs. There are pictures for us in the Bible are the mightiest, the most awesome, the most fearful. Stop and think of the fact that when they appear to people (and John is going to fall into this) they appear in the form of a man. But there's something about that appearance that is so terrifying that sometimes people drop at their feet as if they're dead, and that's after they've shielded and covered the magnificence of their glory. • So they are mighty, mighty angels. And then we have the Seraphim.
