Maenam is a narrow palm-fringed beach on Koh Samui’s north coast between Bangrak and Bophut. A very beautiful beach, but quiet and peaceful too, with fewer visitors than Chaweng or Lamai. The wind conditions at Maenam at certain times of the year make it ideal for kitesurfing and parasailing. I didn’t witness either when I visited, but I did see a paramotor take off from the beach! • I’ve been in search of Koh Samui’s best beach.
