Meet Vincent Medina and Louis Trevino, East Bay Ohlone co-founders of mak-’amham/Cafe Ohlone. Cafe Ohlone is located on the campus of the University of CA Berkeley, where the Ohlone people were once erroneously declared extinct. Now, this space has been reclaimed and is a love song to Ohlone culture that is infused with Ohlone generosity. Vincent and Louis invite guests to experience this distinctive culture and incredible cuisine amongst the colors and textures of their homeland at Cafe Ohlone. • — • The Visit Native California content series aims to shine a spotlight on the many different ways visitors can learn about, and learn from, the state’s 100+ tribes.
