This method is best used to conveniently find the password for a new device if you already have a device connected, and have forgotten the password. • Additionally, this method for the most part works with windows 7. I am not sure if it works on XP. I tried the same method on vista, and I was able to get the same results, but I was not, however, able to view the characters. This may be due to the fact that I was not on an admin account when trying to view the passcode.
