He's alive again! The woman ran to the disciples and told them about what happened. • On that same day, two disciples were walking to a village called Emmaus. They were chatting about everything that had happened. • ## • A man came up and began to walk with them. It was Jesus! • But the two men were stopped from recognising Him. • Jesus asked the two men. “What are you talking about?” • The men started talking to Jesus, about Jesus. They were sad about His death. • Jesus began to explain the Old Testament to the men and all it taught about Him. • ## • As they got closer to the village, Jesus kept on walking like He was going further. But they kept on begging him, Please stay with us! It will get dark soon.” • When Jesus was sitting with them at the table, He got some bread, said a prayer, broke it into pieces and started giving it out. • All of a sudden, they realised it was Jesus but then He vanished right in front of their eyes! • ## • The men hurried back to Jerusalem to see the other disciples. • When they got there, they saw the eleven disciples and the others with them. The disciples told the men, It's true! The Lord has come back to life, and He showed himself to Simon! • Then the two shared the story of their journey, and how they had met with Jesus and only knew it was Him when He broke the bread! • They were all amazed at the good news.
