New Bayswater Station OPENING

After over six months of closure, the new, freshly rebuilt Bayswater Station opened platforms 1 and 2 on the 8th of October 2023, the second Sunday of October, which is coincidentally the same time of year that the Airport Line opened last year! I woke up at 3:45AM to get on the first train stopping at Bayswater, leaving Midland at 4:56AM due to special events in the city. We then explore the station and surroundings and also see the first train on each line in each direction, as well as the first bus to come through now (the 998 after being rerouted to travel back on its old path through Bayswater), and the Indian Pacific too. I also met the Deputy Premier and Transport Minister, Rita Saffioti, who I got to talk to and even share my email address to get involved with future METRONET experiences.
