The Siege of Breslau (1945) is a forgotten WWII battle. It was one of the last WWII battles that was fought. At the end of WW2 Breslau (now: Wroclaw) was declared a fortified city (Festung). In February 1945 the Soviets had surrended the city which was packed with civilians.
