Let's tour the beautiful campus Kumasi Technical University (KTU) formerly known as Kumasi Polytechnic Enjoy the walk through! • Where I get my music (Epidemic Sound), sign up for free: https://www.epidemicsound.com/referra... • Kumasi Technical University is one of the Polytechnics in Ghana (Aside the Accra Polytechnic, Takoradi Polytechnic, Sunyani Polytechnic) diverted into University. It is located at the heart of Kumasi, the capital city of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. • The University, known earlier as Kumasi Technical Institute, was established in 1954, but started actual teaching and learning in 1955, dealing mainly with craft courses. It became a Polytechnic on 30 October 1963 and a University in 2017. From then on, it concentrated on Technician and a few Diploma Programmes. Additionally, a few professional courses were offered. Following the enactment of the Polytechnic Law 1992, PNDC Law 321, Kumasi Polytechnic ceased to exist in its previous form and became a tertiary institution (Source: Wikipedia) • The University has a lot of faculties and provides a lot of programs one can study from. Among these faculties include: • Faculty of Engineering • Faculty of Built and Natural Environment • Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences • Faculty of Applied Sciences • Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology • School of Business • Institute of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development • Institute of Distance and Continuing Education • School of Graduate Studies, Research and Innovation • If you happen to visit Ghana especially from the diaspora and you're looking for things to do in Ghana, a visit to Kumasi Technical University would be a great idea.
