Today we looked at creating a lead sheet and changing many of the Dorico default settings to match a leadsheet style. • 3:33 - Changing to Petaluma Jazz font • 4:11 - Switch to part layout • 4:49 - Turn off multirests • 5:20 - Turn off first staff indent • 7:45 - Adding 1st and 2nd time ending • 8:14 - Turn on winged barlines • 8:55 - Chord entry (see • How to Input Chord Symbols | New Feat... for more options) • 11:05 - Adding bars, no longer need +/plus in the popover • 12:00 - Slash bar and repeat bar region • 13:55 - Copying chord symbols • 18:00 - Adding slash region automatically hides the original notes but they still playback • 18:34 - Playback of chord symbols • 19:47 - Turn off slash bar numbering e.g. (4) • 20:38 - Moving bar numbers under staff • 21:07 - Changing tied quarter notes to half notes in middle of bar • 22:13 - Difference between slash regions and slash voices when it comes to extra rests etc • 24:58 - Setting 4 bars per system throughout the piece (casting off) • 25:10 - Additionally changing the first line to have 5 bars • 26:38 - Cutting a slash region in two with U • 29:05 - Changing the size of chord symbols • 30:00 - Entering sus4 or 11 chords - Note input options • 32:03 - Changing notes or chords into slashes (including rhythms) • 32:45 - Difference between choosing a slash voice and changing to a slash voice • 36:02 - Tuplet options for existing / imported notes • We hope you find this video entertaining and useful.
