3D New Years Eve Ball Drop Cookie

Oh my, it’s hard to believe that another year is nearly over. But it is, and no amount of hoping for more time to fulfill last year’s resolutions is going to slow down the arrival of 2018. So what are we waiting for?! Let’s get this party started! • I’m ringing in the New Year with this 3-D cookie ball. Designed with 40 individual cookie pieces, it mimics the multi-faceted real deal that drops on Times Square each New Year’s Eve. But I’ve jazzed it up even more by filling it with candy, and airbrushing, stenciling, and piping on the outside. If admiring and eating this project isn’t enough, I’ve also given you two options for using the orbs as functional party décor. First, string a few candy-filled ones from your chandelier and then break them apart (piñata-style) at the stroke of midnight. Or, second, mount them on a single rod instead of a long string, and turn them into noisemakers, for use all night!
