#AMISHSTYLEFOOD #mennonitemom • Today I'm cooking fun style recipes! Haystacks for Dinner and Breakfast! These are Amish Mennonite style recipes that I hope you enjoy! We love them! • Haystacks For Dinner: • This is the order you can put it on your plate: • Rice : Use whatever you prefer. • Hamburger Chili Sauce: • 1 lb hamburger. A little bit of chopped onion. 1 1/2 pk taco seasoning. 1 tsp. chili powder. 1 1/2 cup chili beans. 6 oz. tomato juice (3/4 cup) . • Brown the hamburger and onion. add seasonings and then the rest of the ingredients. It should be a bit 'soupy'. • Doritos or Crushed crackers • lettuce • tomatoes • sour cream • Cheese sauce : 1 stick of butter , melt that then add 1/3 to 1/2 cup of flour and stir until it's smooth. then slowly add milk into that, stirring constantly so it doesn't burn. After it’s smooth add velveeta cheese or similar until it’s cheesy enough! • ________________________________________________________________________________________ • Breakfast Haystacks : This is the order as well as the recipes for it! • Biscuits • Sausage Gravy : • Brown 1 lb sausage, then add about 1/2 cup flour and stir. Add milk and stir as it thickens up. Add milk until it's thick enough.
