Founded in 2014 by art psychotherapists Tania Kaczynski and Jon Martyn, the Studio is a unique space offering a holistic approach to recovery and personal integration through art therapy within a community. Our members have survived imprisonment, torture, and loss of family, country and identity and now face a restricted life in the United Kingdom. Following the trauma of forced migration, through art making and developing meaningful relationships, often over a number of years, we support our members in the group to rebuild their lives. • New Art Studio is fundraising to add a peer support service where refugees and asylum seekers develop their practice and continue their journey of recovery from trauma.
