Trip Report Thomson B7878 Dreamliner Manchester MAN Bridgetown Barbados BGI

On Sunday 19th February 2017 we travelled with Thomson onboard one of their 787-8 dreamliners from Manchester EGCC to Bridgetown, Barbados. • After arriving at Manchester airport terminal 2 we headed to the Thomson check in area. We were able to use premium check in so it made our check in process much quicker and easier. Once checked in we headed through to security which was the longest and most annoying part of the airport process, taking 30 minutes to pass through. • Boarding commenced roughly around 45 minutes before departure we was quite early however we were made to wait on the jetbridge. However being one of the first people to board you see the cabin with no one in, offering a good perspective of the cabin. The cabin itself was very spacious and open with the huge windows on the 787 making the cabin feel brighter. The seats themselves were again very spacious and comfortable set out in a 3-4-3 layout. We were seated in an 'extra legroom seat' which does what it states on the tin, gives you extra legroom. There was a noticeable difference in legroom which was a great benefit and added more comfort as the flight went on being able to stretch out that extra bit. The IFE system onboard was very impressive with a great variety of latest and classic movies along with tv programmes, games and music. The meal was nothing special however was adequate.A drinks service was made several times throughout the flight and the free drinks on long haul services are a great feature by Thomson. The crew onboard were very attentive and the service flowed throughout the flight.
