In one of the most nostalgic British ad campaigns imaginable, a young boy by the name of Kit Scott Esq (a then-unknown Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is chosen to embark on a mythical, Neverending-Story-esque quest in pursuit of the Rowntree, a tree that bears five different fruits, aided by the hologram of a professor who never completed his quest, a dark sorcerer, an insect eater (Louise Savage-Knight) and the sweets created from the Rowntree. • Kit never found the tree, as the campaign was terminated halfway, crushing the dreams of children across the country. According to co-creator Alastair Ross in conversation with Paul Jones, another fan in search for the full story on obscure British advertising* whose quest is linked below, the eighth and final chapter in this adventure would conclude with Kit discovering that the Rowntree was in fact a valley bearing five rivers with a fruit orchard in between, forming a tree shape. • https://www.alistairross.com/rowntrees • http://www.searchfortherowntree.com/ • *I'm still looking for everything to do with Cadbury Land and Willie Wotsit...
