Join Thomas at The Home of Thomas on 26th 27th June when he will be celebrating a BIG Milestone Birthday....The BIG 50 • Each child will receive a gift from Thomas • Thomas's 50th Birthday Celebration plans are well under way, tickets are now on sale. Numbers will be limited so don't delay in purchasing yours. For advance notice of future Thomas/Family Style Event tickets going on sale please send us an email [email protected] • Hope you can join Thomas on this very special day to help him celebrate his 50th Birthday at Nene Valley Railway in the style that Thomas deserves • Nene Valley Railway is home to a little blue engine named ‘Thomas’ by the Rev. W. Awdry author of the famous books about Thomas and Friends. On 26th June 2021 it will be 50 years since Rev. W. Awdry signed Thomas's cab at Nene Valley Railway we at the railway want to celebrate this day with all of Thomas's friends old new. • Come and Celebrate Thomas's 50th Birthday with him on 26th 27th June • Thomas will be joined out on the tracks for his 50th Birthday Bash by one of our resident steam locomotives. Thomas will haul your first part of the journey and take you on a leisurely short trip through the tunnel towards Yarwell, where you will be able to take in the views and watch Thomas run round to reconnect at the other end of the rake to take you back to Wansford Station. Once back at Wansford one of our larger steam locomotives will couple up and take you all for your return trip to Peterborough. Whilst on board each child will receive a birthday treat and will have a selection of Thomas/Train themed activities on each table. • Please arrive at the following times to join Thomas, the Wansford Controller and his Wansford Family to join in with his 50th Birthday Celebration. • Booked on the 10am Train – Arrive at 09:15am • Booked on the 12:10 Train – Arrive at 11:15am • Booked on the 14:20 Train – Arrive at 13:30 • When purchasing your ticket you are purchasing a ticket for a full round trip. If you only wish to join us for the short journey hauled by Thomas this is your choice but your ticket does include the full round trip to Peterborough, but we do hope you can stay a little longer for the longer trip to Peterborough with our bigger steam locomotive. On your return you can spend a bit of time at Wansford Station taking in the views of a working heritage railway, light refreshments from our pop up kiosk and a chat with our amazing team of volunteers who are always there with a smile (event if under a face covering). • All tickets are to be purchased in advance and seating is fully allocated. Don't forget to bring your face covering, as they are still a requirement on site and while traveling on the train.
