The treatment for lacrimal duct stenosis is supportive - you can wipe away excess tears and the crust/buildup with a clean wet washcloth as often as needed. You can also massage next to the nose with each diaper change to try and open it up. If your baby still has LDS by 1 year of age, you can speak to your doctor about being referred for a (very minor) surgery, which involves putting your baby under anesthesia and using a very thin probe to widen the lacrimal duct. #LDS #blockedtearduct #lacrimalduct
