20,000 vehicles are on the apron at Frankfurt Airport every day. Only those who have a special driving license are allowed to drive next to the planes. Maximilian Fiedler is a driver trainer. After a day of theory and a day of practice, anyone can get a permit for the apron – but only after they have passed the exam. • Around 80,000 people work at Frankfurt Airport. 65 million passengers come to the two terminals every year. If you want to fly from Frankfurt, you have 107 countries to choose from. 1,400 planes take off and land at Europe's fourth largest airport every day. An airport with world records: the largest factory fire brigade, the largest airport clinic, the largest car workshop, the largest aircraft tow tractors. Four video journalists from Hessischer Rundfunk were allowed to film exclusively at the airport for 50 days. The reporters accompanied 22 people with the camera, up close in areas and situations that had not previously been seen on television. Exciting, emotional stories about Hessen's largest employer.
