Dame Elizabeth Taylor spent about three and a half years steadily with Eddie Fisher. She does not like to talk about this period of her life so I shall respect her wishes and keep this very short. I feel that it is imperative that I illustrate one of the many zenith's of her beauty that occurred during this time (September 1958-March 1962). Her romance, marriage and subsequent divorce with Eddie Fisher were embroiled in scandal throughout the duration of their times together. They were never able to escape it. It was when she came close to death ( March 1961) with viral pneumonia that she realized that she had married Eddie Fisher for the wrong reasons. They both loved Mike Todd (Elizabeth's husband who had passed away and Eddie's best friend), and Elizabeth thought that by being together, they could keep the memory of Mike Todd alive. A drastic reason to marry but everything in this time period was drastic for Dame Elizabeth. Once the film, Cleopatra started production in the autumn of 1961, Elizabeth would find the man she would love for the rest of her life. • In viewing these short film clips, please donate to the cause that has become Dame Elizabeth Taylor's life mission for over two decades. The eradication of AIDS in the world. Until such time, The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation funds programs and organization that give direct care to the population of millions affected with HIV/AIDS...whether it is direct care or related/ associated services. So many people are now living longer with AIDS/HIV due to advances in viral medication technology, but the impact of living a life with AIDS is far reaching. AIDS affects all of us, in one way or another. Generations of young people are not conscious of the 1980's. The face of AIDS has changed since the time when those who were ill were visibly stigmatized, akin to being lepers. Now, those with HIV/AIDS live life among the general population attempting to cope with the disease. Sometimes, silently. Emotionally, the impact is just the same as those first diagnosed. Fear. The only solution is to rid the world of this disease, therefore opening a technological highway aimed to ignite the remedy to so many other diseases as well. • Any amount of time or money will push this development ahead, not behind...never behind! • Thank you, Richard Bassett • • [email protected] • • DONATE NOW - The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation: http://www.elizabethtayloraidsfoundat... • • DISCLAIMER: WE MAKE NO CLAIM TO THE COPYRIGHTS OF THE FILM CLIPS, PHOTOGRAPHY OR MUSIC PUBLISHING RIGHTS HEREIN.
