Debut CD filled with bitter-sweet love and young soul, finally completed! Rufus is the solo unit of Shuhei Ueda, a singer/songwriter living in Kyoto, Japan. 2002 saw his first recording, HEART-RENDING SOUL , released on Second Royal Records' compilation CD Second Royal . His songwriting sense became the talk of the town, with heavy airplay on FM stations nationwide. In April 2003, he was the only Japanese artist to participate in an omnibus CD in American Music magazine Vol. 21, which has a reputation for discovering new talent. In August of the same year, he made his solo debut with the analog 12-inch believe it!(or not), which included a REMIX by Halfby. The album introdufus was produced by Tatsuki Hashimoto, a.k.a. Strauss, who has produced Escalator's newcomer Harvard and engineered Halfby, and is currently enjoying great success and rapidly gaining attention. It is a debut mini-album containing 8 songs selected from the songs that have been recorded since the beginning of the band's activities.
