Welcome to Part 2 of my video series on the SIG SG 553 Semi Auto rifle • Join me on Patreon for additional content: / armandgun • Why I ask for support through Patreon: • I love the firearms community and am thrilled to be able to give back to it by way of producing content for it. I want to both continue my pace of content production as well as improve its quality, all while adding to its diversity (shooting for accuracy videos, destructive target testing, high speed / slow motion, etc). • Appearances aside, I am not just some rich guy with a ton of guns. I had a good job and ideal set of circumstances for a few years that allowed me to invest heavily in building up a sizeable collection. Those circumstances are changing, and now I am turning to the community to help continue to make this channel exciting and successful. Your help and support are greatly appreciated. • All funds received by YouTube (very insignificant as firearms videos are largely demonetized) and by supporters via Patreon are to be reinvested into this channel in the following ways: • Purchase and import of new feature firearms/gear: Being in Canada, it is often difficult for manufacturers/distributors to send me firearms for testing and review. Instead, I often have to purchase them personally, and in some cases even import them into the country. • Ammunition: It takes funds to run the guns enough to be able to get a good overall impression for an accurate review. • Production value: I am always looking to add better camera and lighting gear to be able to improve the final product you see. • Range and targets: from more static steel targets, to future destructive target testing. • Travel to distributors/manufacturers/industry shows to get the content on the latest and greatest - I’ll be at Shot Show 2020 • **magazine in firearm was empty during handling portions of the video. Only loading during the shooting segment. • Follow me on Instagram for daily content: / arm.and.gun • Facebook: / armandgun • This video is part of a multi-video set featuring the SIG SG 553 • Series 1: • Part 1: Intro to the SIG SG 553 • Part 2: POV Shooting (FPS style shooting video showing the gun in action, demonstrating the controls and ergonomics of the rifle, as well as any modifications I have done to the gun) • Part 3: Disassembly and review of key internal features • Part 4: Overview of the firearm including design detail, function and features • Series 2: • Part 5: Shooting for Accuracy with the SIG SG 553 • Thanks for tuning in! Lots more coming. I would appreciate your subscription as I hope to improve the level of content as the channel grows. • Correction Section: • SIG SG 553 Technical Specs: • Calibre: .223 (5.56mm) • Operating: Locked, rotating bolt, gas piston (long stroke) operated • Modes of fire: Semi auto only • Magazine Capacity: 5, 20, 30 (only 5 in Canada due to restrictive magazine limit laws) • Sights: Integrated flip up sights • Barrel Length: 8.9 // mm • Barrel Twist: • Overall Length min/max: 19.7 folded • Weight: • Muzzle Device: 3 prong flash hider • • The SIG SG 55x rifles in Canada are referred to the SAN SWISS Classic Green Black Special. Until recently, they were considered Non-Restricted based on barrel length, meaning that with a 18.5 + barrel it is legal to own with a PAL and can be shot wherever it is legal to discharge firearms. With the implementation of C71 legislation, these will move to a prohibited class (12.9), and owners will be grandfathered. The FN Ps90 bonus gun at the end is in the same non-restricted based on barrel length category, and is therefore restricted in its current setup along with the 553. They both require a RPAL to possess and in addition to being registered in a federal database, have addition storage, transport, sale, and discharge restrictions. • #armandgun #sg553 #gunreview
