TRS team member Matt demonstrates how to re-seal headlights with our OCI Butyl Rubber Glue for a perfect moisture-free seal. • ****************************** • What to Use • To seal headlights back up during a retrofit, it’s important to use the right adhesive. In many cases, the glue that’s already inside the two halves of the headlight housing will do the trick. However, to ensure you get the job done right, TRS offers high-quality resealing glue that’s made of the same stuff that’s used to seal factory headlights. • ****************************** • How to Seal Headlights • After the restoration of the headlight components is complete, take out your roll of OCI Butyl Rubber Glue and cut two pieces the appropriate length to stretch from one end of the housing to the other. Because the glue is usually thicker than necessary, gently stretch it out to make it thinner as you apply it to the channel. Then reinstall the lens — making sure all the clips are in the correct position — and use pliers to squeeze the two sides together for a tight grip.
