Flex head Wrenches are a must for this job https://amzn.to/2LNVx3w • In this video doing the ford f150 5.4 3V engine timing we are removing the valve covers to get access to the timing components. The drivers side valve cover was pretty easy to get off. The passenger side valve cover on the 5.4 3V is harder to remove. this would be easier if the AC was recovered so you could remove some of the lines. I also found that removing the inner fender of the passenger side made things easier as well. In the end i had to remove the bolts in the valve cover to fully get it out.
