Have you CAMed a part for your machine and the G code still needed some tweaks after? Do you need to add some small lines of initialization code to your G code? Ever wonder how the post processor gets called and executes? Well here is a walkthrough of the various parts in a post processor. • The post processor is needed to output the cam information into a G code file formatted for your machine. We will review all the major functions of the post processor and describe how they interact with the CAM engine.
