The Savage MSR 10 was reliable. In multiple outings the MSR 10 Hunter model digested all steel case and brass loads tried. The weight is reasonable, ergonomics/furniture selection is adequate, and the value is good. It comes with an adjustable gas block on its 16 inch barrel. However accuracy was a low point in testing, in several outings,, similar to the MSR 15 also tested here. We achieved about 2 MOA sometimes much worse. A discussion on Savage barrels in these black guns ensues. Overall the MSR 10 is a good competitor and you might get a better example that shoots great.
