CSX Intermodal Train w Autoracks at The End! • 5 Trains in all in this action packed train video filmed in and around Dun Kirk NY on October 9th 2021. • 0:00 Intro. • 0:07 You are doing an in-person introduction for this video while standing at the CSX Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 9 October 2021. • 0:45 We are watching a westbound Norfolk Southern train #309 approaching the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 9 October 2021. After Norfolk Southern train #309 passed the Berry Road crossing, we watched as the train passed the Lake Road crossing about a mile to the west of the Berry Road crossing. We could see that part of Norfolk Southern train #309 was also crossing the Martin/Lowell crossing about two miles west of the Berry Road crossing. The reason I call that second crossing the Martin/Lowell Road crossing is that on the north side of the CSX and Norfolk Southern tracks at the road crossing the road is named Martin Road. After Martin Road crosses south of the two railroad tracks, the name changes to Lowell Road. I presume that the name changes because the road passes through two local towns and they each have their preferred name for the same road. • 4:28 We are now at the CSX Berry Road crossing looking at the headlight of CSX train #Q168 approaching from the west on 9 October 2021. You zoomed in to catch CSX train #Q168 crossing the Lake Road crossing about a mile wst of the Berry Road crossing. As CSX train #Q168 passes the Berry Road crossing, we see that there are auto racks attached to the last double stack car on the train. As we watched CSX train #Q168 pass the Van Buren Road crossing about a mile east of the Berry Road crossing, you mentioned that the date of Saturday 8 October 2021. You mixed up the days and should have said Saturday, 9 October 2021. • 8:54 We are still at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 9 October 2021 as CSX train #K029 approaches the Van Buren Road crossing which is about a mile east of the Berry Road crossing. CSX train #K029 is an as needed train that brings empty oil tank cars from Linden, New Jersey to the Canadian Pacific's Bensenville Yard in Bensenville, Illinois. When I saw the BNSF engine on the point, I presumed that since this train had a BNSF engine on the point that it would be going to the BNSF's Clyde Yard in Cicero, Illinois. We watched this train #K029 as it passes the Lake Road crossing about a mile west of the Berry Road crossing. We also see that as the rear of CSX train #K029 is crossing the Lake Road crossing; the front part of the train is crossing the Martin/Lowell Road crossing about two miles west of the Berry Road crossing. • 13:05 You zoom out of watching CSX train #K029 to catch Norfolk Southern train #310 pass at the Norfolk Southern Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 9 October 2021.
