My LG dishwasher suddenly started making a high pitched squealing noise during the wash cycle. • It turned out to be a bad motor bearing, which I was able to repair with a new $70 part from EBay and 2 hours of my time. • Make sure you plug the drain hose when removing it, or at least keep it above the level of the dishwasher, otherwise you'll end up with a puddle on your kitchen floor.
