How To Find Druzy Geodes Rock Crystals Gems Dugway Utah

On my first dig, I found the Dugway Geode beds with druzy quartz in Utah with the help of local rockhound Grim. This was such a cool experience. I've always loved geodes ever since I was a kid. But too dig my own geodes out of the earth was just freakin awesome! Aaron Grimshaw aka Grim is a well known and experienced Utah rockhounding. Grim lead me out to the middle of the Utah desert to find the sought after Dugway Geode Beds. In this video I filmed Grim showing us how to find and dig for geodes. Watch the video till the end to see how nicely they clean up. They shine bright like diamonds! These geodes contain druzy quartz. • I got a whole bucket full! Dug out of the ground with my own two hands. I took my geodes home and scrubbed them off with water really good. The quartz inside is so sparkly and beautiful! • What is a geode? Simply put, it's rock containing a cavity lined with crystals, like quartz, and/or other minerals. They are made in sedimentary or volcanic rocks over hundreds, thousands and millions of years! Isn't that cool? There is no feeling like cracking open your first geode!
