Elaine Hagenberg talks about the inspiration behind her new piece, The Music of Stillness. • at https://global.oup.com/academic/produ... • Elaine Hagenberg’s compositions have performed by schools, churches, universities, honor choirs and choral festivals throughout the United States and abroad. Notable performances include the National Youth Choir at Carnegie Hall, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales, the Melbourne International Choral Festival in Australia, North Central and Central American Choral Directors Association Conferences, the Texas Collegiate Women's Choir Festival, All Virginia State Chorus, the Arkansas All State Chorus, the Iowa State University Honor Choir, performances with the American Boychoir, as well as international performances in South Africa, Taiwan and throughout Europe. • Her pieces have received the Meistersinger’s Knapp Award, the Award of Distinction for the International Longfellow Choral Composers Competition, and second place in the Orange County Choral Society Magnum Opus Choral Composition Contest. • Elaine graduated from Drake University and her compositions are published through the Elaine Hagenberg Choral Series with Hinshaw Music, Henry Leck's Creating Artistry Series with Hal Leonard, Andrea Ramsey's Choral Series with G.
