Welcome to Japanese History for Everyone (JH4E) • The History of The Sengoku Period, Part 2: What Happened After the Onin War and Before the Rise of Oda Nobunaga? • Today is the second video on Sengoku Period also known as the Warring States Period, a period that was marked by the collapse of the Ashikaga Shogunate, leading to a series of conflict between regional daimyo and the eventual re-consolidation of Japan by the three unifyers Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. • In this video we explore the regional conflicts prior to the rise of Oda Nobunaga so we can get to know some of the names of the important clans that will come up in later videos.
