(29 Nov 2013) WANG LEE HOM TIES THE KNOT • One of Mandarin pop's most eligible bachelors is now off the market. • Chinese American pop singer/actor Wang Lee Hom confirmed through his rep that he married his girlfriend, 27-year-old graduate student Lee Jinglei, on Wednesday November 27th. • Wang said that the date has a special meaning to the family. It is also the wedding anniversary of his parents. • The newly weds registered for marriage in the United States, where the groom's family resides. • Born and raised in the U.S., Wang returned to Taiwan to release his debut album in 1995. His subsequent albums received critical and commercial success and cemented his status as Mandarin pop's top A-lister. • In recent years, Wang has ventured into acting. He was cast in Oscar winning director, Ang Lee's Lust, Caution, and most recently he starred opposite Zhang Ziyi in the romantic comedy My Lucky Star. • Early this year, Hollywood came knocking when Wang was cast in Michael Mann's new cyber terrorism filmed, called Cyber. • The 37-year-old singer and actor has kept a low profile about his relationship status. It wasn't until a few days ago that he introduced his significant other to fans on weibo (blog). • Wang posted a photo of Lee leaning her head on his shoulder and announced, I'm lucky to have met a girl to hold hands with and share my future... her name is Lee Jinglei, she's 27-years-old and a graduate student at Columbia. Wangbaba and Mama love her and I hope you will to. • The photo fueled wedding rumors. Wang then confirmed the wedding news through his rep a day later, saying that he has indeed tied the knot with Lee. • According to media reports in Taiwan, Lee and Wang met more than 10 years ago through family friends.
