Salmon fishing in Norway on the beautiful River Orkla, a place where there'd be big fish! • As you will see this particular one lead me a merry dance for nearly 20mins and had the Classic singing! • This fish was approximately 100cm and estimated at 21lbs (9.6kg), safely released to go about her business. • Please excuse the coughing... I managed to pick up a bad cold on the way over... planes have a lot to answer! • Andrew is a Loop Akademi tyer (http://www.looptackle.com/loop-akadem...) and Loop pro team Ireland. He caught the ‘fishing bug’ early and now fishes mainly for Atlantic Salmon across Ireland and further afield, as well as large native ‘dollaghan trout’ in the Feeder Rivers of Lough Neagh. Ever since he caught his first fish on his own fly Andrew has been hooked on fly tying, and enjoys sharing and seeing others experience this first hand. As well as doing live fly tying demonstrations Andrew does online demos (Step by Steps) which you can see here on his YouTube channel. Andrew is also a regular contributor to magazines such as Trout and Salmon, Chasing Silver and Fly Fishing and Fly Tying. • You can contact Andrew at [email protected] or on Facebook - / amcgallfishing
