In this video we explore weaving with wool. We will be using a cardboard weaving loom which has a cockatoo shape cut out of the middle. We create the warp (vertical wool thread) and then the weft (horizontal wool thread). • Using a variety of different coloured wools, we try to emphasise the features of the cockatoo as well as creating shape through colour. By manipulating the weft threads on the loom, we are able to emphasise and adjust certain shapes to create detail. • This is a great activity to teach students how to weave with wool. It can be a time-consuming project, but it is something that children really enjoy once they get the hang of it. • I would recommend this activity for middle primary aged students or even adults could find this very therapeutic. • • *********************************************************** • Supplier of art and craft materials, stationery educational products • Our Website: https://www.zartart.com.au/ • More home learning resources: https://www.zartart.com.au/zartstatic... • by Zart Art • Supporting teachers in creative education
