Australian ravens mourning members death amazing footage

Sydney, Kellyville, 1 July 2012. When we ran out of the front door today to hear what all the noise was about, we saw this raven in the street, struggling to get up. Not sure what happened, but a car may possibly have hit it. It was circled by 15 or more other ravens, clearly in distress about their mate's fate, and mourning about his eventual death. This kept on for about 30 minutes, some even coming back an hour later to see if the situation has changed. It was amazing to see their social behaviour on a member's death, and how they clearly cared very much. Eerily humanlike, making me respect and love them even more. • ADDED LATER: You reckon we should have tried to save the raven, such as some people have suggested?
