The CAT S62 Pro is the latest ultra-rugged flagship smartphone in the market. • At a first glance, you will notice it's not as bulky and cumbersome as most rugged phones we've seen, designed with a modern look. It seems to be making a play for users who need a tough device but also care about the aesthetics of their smartphone. • Safe to say it’s better looking than many other tough smartphones in the current market. It’s not tiny, by any means, though. It still has a thicker body than most 'regular' smartphones, but not a great deal heavier. The screen does look a bit 'last-gen' with the massive bezels, but the FHD LCD display is good enough and is bright and sharp enough for most users needs. • One big plus that's squarely aimed at its intended user, is that it has a crazy 'Glove Support' feature, meaning that, even if you have huge thick gloves on, you can still use the phone without issue. This is a feature that we think should be implemented on all phones. • Possibly the biggest draw to this device is the excellent Thermal Camera. The main reason we were keen to trial this smartphone, really, and it didn't disappoint. • The obvious use for this feature lies at the building site, but it's definitely possible to muster some more creative applications and the resulting images can be quite stunning. • Watch our full review here.
