Essentially, the P224 is a sub compact P229. It can be chambered in 9mm Parabellum (Luger), .40 S W, or .357 SIG in a compact package. The capacity of the P224 is 11+1 for 9mm (not 12+1), 10+1 for .40 or S W. The trigger is offered either in DAK (SIG's tweaked double action only [DAO] trigger), or DA/SA with a decocker. This particular model is the P224 Extreme and comes with textured G10 grips. The MSRP for these will be in the $1100 range and the pistol is expected to hit the streets over the next few months.
