Just a kinda functional (?) work in progress of a webcam-based heart rate monitor driving the animation of a 3D heart model in the browser. I'm not really the OpenCV smarty I'd like to be, so the pulse signal isn't.... super consistent, but seems to be relatively close under the right lighting (measurements from my smartwatch's pulse oximeter are in the right window for reference). • The other tricky part is properly modulating the speed of the systole and diastole segments of the animation since they behave differently as heart rate increases (thank you cardiology journals for helping out with the math). • I'll keep chipping away at it to make it a more informative (and prettier) web app gimmick in the meantime. • #threejs #opencv #computervision #cardiology #medical #animation # rPPG #photoplethysmography #biosignal #webgl
