This is a demonstration by a student of Wudang Xuan Gong Dao as taught at the Wudang Daoist Traditional Kungfu Academy in Wudang China by Master Yuan Xiu Gang. • Xuan Gong Dao means “Mystical Form Broadsword”. This form has 43 movements. The broadsword (also sometimes called the Sabre) is a single handed weapon used differently than the straightsword (Jian 剑). It’s movements are open, with large slices and chopping motions along with hooking, trapping, upper cuts, hacking. It is focused on dismembering and killing the opponent. It is ferocious, like a tiger, but circular like a dragon. When done in the Wudang style, there is a focus on bringing internal energy and work into a style which typically looks like a very external form of Kung Fu. • To learn more about Wudang Kung Fu in China: • http://www.wudangwushu.com • To learn more about Wudang Kung Fu in Canada: • http://www.wudangtoronto.com • http://bit.ly/2MJjaK2
