South African songstress Belinda Davids was born in Port Elizabeth and began performing professionally at the age of 14. She has never had vocal training and is blessed with a four-octave vocal range, which allows her to sing any genre. Belinda’s inspirations as a child were Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Chaka Khan, Donny Hathaway, Michael Jackson and the one artist she honours in every show is Whitney Houston. • For Davids, starring in The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show is the culmination of a life-long connection with the superstar to whom she pays homage. • 2017 saw Belinda being crowned as the winner of the BBC special, Even Better Than the Real Thing as well as her performing on the FOX TV show, Showtime At the Apollo, for Steve Harvey and a very tough New York City audience. Her rendition of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You received a standing ovation. • Join the Expresso community: • Facebook | @expressoshow.sabc3 | / expressoshow.sabc3 • Twitter | @expressoshow | / expressoshow • Instagram | @expressoshow | / expressoshow • Pinterest | @expressomorning | / expressomorning • Snapchat | @expressoshow | https://www.snapchat.com • Website | http://www.expressoshow.com
