Update January 2025: Mercedes-Benz E-Class is awarded Best Performer 2024 by Euro NCAP. • Learn more about the Best in Class cars ▶ https://www.euroncap.com/en/ratings-r... • Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models: • ▶ a frontal impact test where 50% of the width of the car strikes an oncoming deformable barrier, travelling at 50 km/h • ▶ a frontal impact test where the car impacts a full-width rigid barrier • ▶ a side impact test where a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door • ▶ a pole test where the car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole and the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated • ▶ a whiplash test performed on a sled. • A series of pedestrian tests are also conducted with different impactors: adult and child head form, and lower and upper leg form. As well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
