Are you worried about what to expect from your first pole dance class? This video is aimed at those of you who are thinking of taking a pole dance class but perhaps haven’t booked onto a course yet. Hopefully this video will help to give you a little more information about your first class. • If you want to see a great selection of beginners pole dance moves, check-out my other video here: • Top 10 Beginner Pole Moves • It took me a year to build up the confidence to book my first pole class - and I just wish I had booked when I knew I wanted to try it. • *************** • Your First Pole Dance Class • Each pole studio is different from the next, but one thing that we all have in common is that we all love pole and want to help others to learn and succeed. Here’s a little run down of what you might need to know: • Clothes • The more skin you have on the pole, the more grip you will have. For your first few classes you will most likely be able to wear long shorts, and work out gear on top. As you progress, you will feel the need to wear shorter shorts, or occasionally get your stomach out to help you grip. No one will judge you for what you wear! • Some pole schools and classes will be in heels. I used to dance in heels when I was first learning to pole. I used to wear my heels that I wore for a normal night out, and over time have wanted to get higher heels! • The thing you don't want to wear is moisturiser - it will make you slip and slide! • What To Bring • Water Bottle • Flannel - this is to wipe your hands and body on • Notebook - you may want to write something down • Camera - to take pics or videos - make sure you have permission before you do. • Book! • When you decide to book, the pole school that you want to go to will most likely have all of the information you need to know on their website or Facebook - have a read through, and you’ll be one step closer to getting on that pole. • I wish I’d booked my first pole class sooner.
