Giant Jaffa Cake Recipe

Now who doesn’t like a Jaffa Cake ? Well I decided to take this to another Level by creating a Giant Jaffa Cake I Loved this as a child and still love them to this day hope you enjoy watching. • Ingredients • 135 grams Orange Jelly (not crystals) • 2 Eggs • 75 Grams Castor Sugar • 75 Grams Self Raising Flour • 275 Grams Dark Chocolate • 300 Mls Boiling Water • 2 Tablespoon Marmalade it’s best to use Fine or Clear Marmalade • Method • Cut the Jelly into small Cubes into a bowl • Add Boiling Water • Add 2 Tablespoon Marmalade • Mix well until All Jelly has Dissolved • In A baking tin Line with Cling Film (food wrap) • Pour The Jelly into the lined Tin • Refrigerate for 4 Hours Minimum • Sponge method • Add 75 Grams of Castor Sugar to a bowl • Add 2 Eggs and whisk until it changes colour and frothy • Add in the Self Raising flour and mix with a Spatula • Pour into a lined Baking tin • Bake in a preheated oven 160c for 15 to 20 minutes • Do a toothpick test making sure sponge is cooked through. • When cooked remove and allow to cool for 30 mins on a wire rack • When jelly has set completely remove from refrigerator and cut around the jelly to fit the sponge carefully lay the Jelly over the Sponge and remove cling film. • Melt the chocolate in a microwave oven in 30 second bursts stirring making sure chocolate is completely dissolved. • Allow to cool for 15 mins then pour over the Sponge and Jelly with a palette Knife. • Refrigerate for 20 to 30 mins to allow chocolate to set. • Cut with a heated knife to avoid chocolate to crack while cutting. • Enjoy. • #Giantjaffacakerecipe #Jaffacake. #Tastytreats. #Andrewssimplecooking
