This is a quick step-by-step guide for using the Nikon Z8's built-in sensor cleaning function. It briefly vibrates the sensor to try to shake loose any dust that's on the sensor. • This feature is designed as a first line of defense against dust bunnies and isn't the same thing as using fluid cleaners, dust pens, or bulb blowers for a more thorough cleaning of the sensor. • You can run the sensor cleaning function manually on demand. You can also set it to run every time you power the camera off (which is enabled by default). • The sensor cleaning function is most effective when used in combination with the sensor shield.
