#science #space • • Jupiter's rings are faint, dark bands of dust particles discovered by Voyager 1 in 1979. Unlike Saturn's bright icy rings, Jupiter's rings are made up of tiny debris likely from impacts on its moons. The system consists of four main rings: the halo, main, and two gossamer rings, all located close to the planet. While not as visible as those of other planets, Jupiter’s rings remain a fascinating feature of the gas giant. • • subscribe and Explore the science with me. • Subscribe: / @discoverylab-m7l
