It was a bright, warm, and sunny day, and I didn't travel far to take these pictures. • One thing to note: I manually set the SD1000's ISO to 80 (the lowest it goes) • Timestamps : • 0:00 - Intro • 0:03 - Sword Fern • 0:05 - Holly leaves up-close • 0:08 - a shot from under a tree on a hill off the side of the street, take note of the blown highlights • 0:09 - I start talking about the camera • 0:23 - a shot of the Huckleberry shrubs from the shade, with some trees and the sky in the background (also note the blown highlights, such that the sky is clipped to white) • 0:26 - a shot of Ragwort flowers that haven't opened yet • 0:27 - I talk about the imaging specs (megapixel count, sensor size and type, and the lens) • 0:48 - Macro mode? • 1:00 - Ragwort flowers (while zoomed in, F/4.9) • 1:06 - Ragwort flowers (while zoomed out, F/8) (note: I have recently learned that it's actually not F/8, but instead a 3-stop ND filter. Yes, Canon lies about the aperture in the EXIF metadata) • 1:11 - Ragwort flowers (while zoomed out, F/8, normal mode) • 1:16 - Demonstrating how to change from Normal to Macro to Infinity mode • 1:23 - Remember to not use the GoPro head strap with long hair • 1:33 - SD1000 camera image dimensions vs 4K video • 1:44 - Blackberry flowers and unripe fruits • 1:47 - a Thistle plant among the shrubbery at the edge of the forest • 1:51 - into the forest, complete with blown highlights where the sun shines • 1:53 - into the forest, vertical photo, underexposed so that the highlights aren't blown • 1:55 - same thing, but horizontal • 2:03 - what looks like a Heal-all plant (Prunella Vulgaris) in the lawn • 2:15 - what looks like Oxeye Daisy or a similar plant • 2:18 - the sky with Douglas Fir and Western Hemlock • 2:30 - Alder leaf • 2:36 - some outtakes • Additional Resources: • Canon PowerShot SD1000 on Canon's website: • https://global.canon/en/c-museum/prod... • Newmowa NB-4L Replacement Batteries on Amazon: https://a.co/dH4HPjt • Canon SD1000 Review on Imaging Resources (additional specs): • https://www.imaging-resource.com/PROD...
